Booster startup went well- great work!

·       Begin submission for “Maintenance Days” in Booster (after hours until Nov 23rd)

The Booster is running for NSRL

·       Booster setup with gold successful this week (Mon Night)

 

·       October 4th began RHIC scrub on schedule

·       L10 cavity commissioning and RF check out continues, with beam

·       AGS equipment checkout continues

·       AGS setup with beam continues

·       AtR items must be completed this week

o  AtR berm to be swept Thursday (today)

o  RS LOTO must be removed from AGS extraction and transport to the W dump

o  RHIC RS LOTO box located in 911B rm. 222

·       Access controls has begun testing in RHIC, some interruption early morning and evenings- call MCR 5388 for problems with access

o  At times alarms will ring- TV will have a warning when ACS informs MSG

·       This weekend:

o  Access to Booster 0700-1100 Saturday for EBIS buncher install prep work- see Schedule

o  Monday, Tuesday (and Wednesday?), Booster Access for EBIS bunches install/Bake preperation

·       Three shifts with NO ACCESS to RHIC, 1600-2400 Nov 30, Dec 1, 2 for roll ups.

·       Vender tests of EBIS dipole in January, time TBD.

 

Red Letter Days for start up- Items in grey are completed:

·       Nov 20rd – 23th :

o  Beam to W dump, no access to AGS, U line, W, X, Y lines.

o  Daytime Access.

·       Dec 4th Blue injection

·       Dec 8th Yellow injection

 

·       AGS Access November 9, 10, 11– AGS main Magnet repair and tune jump quads, Completed

·       Controls startup for AGS and RHIC is complete

·       Siemens and Westinghouse MG sets ran (no load), some issues but ok- COmplete

·       AGS BLMs energized for tests this week

·       A15 MW checkout complete

·       J7 mechanical installation complete

o  Modifications as access permits this week.

·       Last week in October:

o  Controls test of data flow will be performed, some systems will be “Dry Run”(RMMPS ramp)

·       October 31& Nov 1

o  Booster on restricted access for wiring and barriered testing of EBIS dipoles

·       Nov 02-03:

o  AGS systems turn on, Water, RF etc…

o  Test Westinghouse- Heat run AGS Main Magnets

o  Begin Systems checkout

o  Begin Live ACS testing in AGS and AtR- Limited Access (eves?)

o  45K wave begins, ODH 0 classification in service bldgs and tunnels- observe postings.

·       Nov 05:

o  Dry run AGS with Siemens

o  RHIC at 45K

o  Begin ACS live testing in RHIC, Access to be determined

o  Power supply work at RHIC begins

o  Tandem setup for gold begins

·       November 7-8th: Vender testing of the EBIS dipoles in the Booster ring (Booster NA), Rescheduled

·       Today, L12 magnet installation am, pm Hi-pot

·       Friday 11/13: Heat run and check-out AGS equipment.

·       Final equipment checkout Friday 11/13, Mon 11/16 and Tues 11/17- NO AGS ACCESS

·       ACS critical device testing Friday and Monday- RS LOTO changes…

·       Nov 16th:

o  Gold beam setup in Booster begins after NSRL.

·       Nov 17th:

o  Begin AGS setup with gold beam. Eves after NSRL concludes.

 

Power outages for L1 and L2 substation need to be determined as they will affect Booster/EBIS etc.
