The Controls Division comprises two major groups, which develop and maintain computer hardware and software for the control system of the accelerator complex of the Collider-Accelerator Department:

• The Hardware Group, with about 20 engineers and technicians. This group comprises two subgroups:

• The Accelerator Controls Group

• The Access Controls Group

• The Software Group, with about 15 programmers and system administrators; This group is further subdivided into:
  
  • The Systems Group
  • The Applications Group
  • The FEC Software Group
