Interrupt Clock Fail Par. Error Permit Rotation Spare Interrupt Spare
Int. Enable(r/w)-Can enable or mask out interrupt
Rot. Fid. Fail.(r)- Every beam revolution (12.8 usec.) this bit is updated to indicate its status.
Interrupts occur at every change of status. If the event is lost over numerous
Beam cycles a single interrupt occurs. With the appearance of the first subsequent
Fiducial a second interrupt is implemented.
Permit Fail.(r)-Beam permit carrier absent.
Par. Error(r)-Parity error on any Beam Sync Link event.
Clk. Fail(r)-Carrier missing on Beam Sync Link.
Int. 2(r)-Interrupt if : bit 1 and ( bit 6 or bit 5 or bit 3 goes
true or false). This will cause Status Register 2 to be read.
Reading Status Reg. 2 clears bit 7, bit 6, and bit 5 only. See note
at bottom for more detail.

Interrupt Clock Fail Par. Error Beam Real Time Spare Interrupt Spare
Int. Enable(r/w)-Can enable or mask out interrupt
Real Time Bm Abt(r)- Indicates when in time there is a beam abort. This occurrence is time
Stamped. This bit "freezes" bit 4 of status reg. 1 and bits 3 and 4 of status reg. 2,
And the time stamp.
Beam Dump(r)-Beam Dump event detected.
Par. Error(r)-Parity error on any Time Event Link event.
Clk. Fail(r)-Carrier missing on Time Event Link.
Int. 1(r)-Interrupt if : (bit 1 and ( bit 6 or bit 5 )) or (bit 1 and bit 3). This will cause Status Register 1 1 to be read and Status Register 2 and the time stamp if bit 3 is true.
Reading Status Reg. 1 clears bit 7, bit 6 and bit 5.
Reading Time Stamp clears bit 3 and bit 4.
Notes : 1. For multiple Beam Dump events multiple beam aborts will be executed. The time
stamp retains its information, for each abort, until read by the FEC (which clears bits 3 and 4
of SR2). After this occurs, the Kicker logic will be ready to record all the appropriate
information for any subsequent abort condition. A background time counter, which is
cleared by Reset, insures an accurate time stamp. After each permit failure, 1 second of
carrier has to be detected, before cleared and armed for a subsequent failure.
2. After bit 3 (Beam Abort) is cleared the "freeze" is lifted but Permit Failure and Rotational
Fiducial Failure are not cleared until the permit carrier returns and a valid fiducial is
detected.
3. There are 6 beam abort conditions:
Will be uniquely identified. Conditions e. and f. will cause a single time stamp, abort, and
Interrupt.
