 Dear participant,

 as the workshop approaches we would like to send you an outline of the workshop
 goal and the main points of discussion.


 Workshop goal:
 --------------
 * Finalize the LHC IR nonlinear corrector layout
 * Outline the primary and secondary correction strategies


 Main issues for discussion:
 ---------------------------
 1) Corrector layout
    - same or different layouts at the 4 IPs
    - need for a b10 corrector
    - 3 nonlinear skew layers for C2
    - 2 or 3 nonlinear layers for C1 and C3
    - larger b3 corrector at IP2 for heavy ion operation

 2) Primary (nominal) correction strategy
    - dead reckoning of corrector strength
    - field measurement accuracy
    - data management 

 3) Secondary correction strategies
    - sorting
    - global correction
    - beam based correction
